Soundings - Our club magazine

Soundings is published monthly (except January) and posted to all financial members.  Included in “Soundings” is a bi-monthly calendar of events, reports from Committees, notices to mariners, stories from members and advertising.

Copy is to be to the Club Office by the 2nd Tuesday of each month for inclusion.  The magazine is posted by the first week of the following month.

The Club operates a base radio license on 27.94 megahertz with a call sign VH4EYA and VHF Channel 73.  For special events, the ACA may allocate another channel.  This will be indicated in the notice of race and the sailing instructions.

The radio is normally only monitored during Club races.

An emergency watch is maintained by the Manly Coast Guard on VHF 16 during daylight hours.  The Coast Guard call sign is "Coast Guard Brisbane".  VHF radio’s are recommended over 27Meg as they are monitored by Coast Guard stations.
